If you use the HTML5 build, select No when it asks about sound, it's acting up on both HTML5 and J2ME but the game is only has like three anyway so you aren't missing out on anything. For what it's worth the windows build is the best way to play the game, it doesn't have the aliasing HTML5 has(otherwise the sprites would be distorted when making the game window x2 in itch.), or the sound issues, It's also got 360 controller support too.

Update 2: Added the cool magic I wanted to have originally, they're missing things like more visible effects but they're functional, also tweaked the sword skeleton's AI a bit to use the better range detection code the bow skeletons use, I'll backport these and hopefully fix the J2ME build soonish since it was the entire point of the project.

Update: Added a somewhat functional J2ME build, if you have an old flip phone or one of those J2ME emulators feel free to give it a whirl, it might look like it'll freeze when you press 5 to confirm the controls but just give it a second.

My entry for the revival jam 2023, I remembered that Clickteam Fusion has a super old and depreciated J2ME exporter and thought that'd be perfect for the revival jam. I also know of the death animation bug with one of the skeletons.

Modifers Met:
Early to Bed, Early to Rise: I joined late and I shouldn't have.

Barebones: The entire thing started as a "What can I do with J2ME" and remembered most if not all J2ME games only allowed Sounds or Music not both so I thought I could work it to my favor and ended up using only like three and even then they're optional.

Skeletons: The Skeleton enemies by Snoblin were super cute so I ended up going with them when I didn't think I'd meet this goal at all.

Really excited to try this one out, will get back to you later with my thoughts.

Quick tip: add information about the controls to this page, new players should not have to figure out which button to press to enable sound. It is not hard to figure out, but a lazy potential player maybe will just assume "this does not work" after pressing the space bar and enter.

Added a little tip to the confirm button on the enable sound screen, thanks! Don't know how that slipped by.
